As Founders of Special Needs Community, we agreed to permanently delete all the Special Needs Community's accounts connected to Meta because we have decided to completely withdraw from this social media platform after their most recent lawsuit regarding child safety. We understand that this does not directly involve us in any way because we have done nothing wrong, but we want to keep our organization safe and clean from any external bad actors. We do not wish to show that we are publicly supporting this social media platform relating to this problem. Because Meta failed to ensure the safety of minors, we don't want to risk or endanger our own Community members to this issue. As a result, we won't continue using this social media platform (Meta) until a permanent solution can be reached. Additionally, we apologize for this inconvenience. Of course we would have loved to stay but because they did not enforce the necessary and proper regulations, laws or protection against these problems, we believed as an organization that this was the right decision to make in response to this.
Special Needs Community is aimed to fight stereotypes and discrimination against special needs and disabled people. We hope to raise a single voice in the world to raise awareness for these specific people, and we do that by donating money to charities that support and also help special needs and disabled people, or by donating daily necessities, such as: food, clothes, etc.
